Adeline Cabot is a painter based in Beverly, Massachusetts. Her watercolors celebrate the tranquil beauty of the Atlantic coast, from Maine’s unspoiled Penobscot Bay islands to the harbors of Gloucester and her hometown of Salem, Massachusetts. Her paintings evoke the clanking of oarlocks, the lapping of waves, and softness of pine needles underfoot. Her use of color captures the ephemeral beauty of clouds, the glare of sunlight on water, and the verdant riot of spring and summer. Adeline’s pen-and-watercolor illustrations explore a more playful side of nature through intimate portraits of animal characters drawn from her backyard and beyond. A graduate of Smith College’s fine arts program, Adeline lives on the North Shore of Boston with her husband and daughters.
